In the name of God Amen I John Nichols Senior of Bedford County in the State
of Virginia being low in health and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory,
thanks to the Almighty God, but knowing it is allotted for mortal men to die,
I do make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament, first recommending
my poor Soul into the hands of the Almighty God that gave it, to me and my poor
body to decently interred and after my lawful debt. and final expence it, dis-
charged. I will and bequeath my Worldly Estate following  Item, I bequeath un
to my son Flayl Nichols my big family Bible.  I bequeath to my son John
Nichols, my young horse called ceilia after my beloved wife Martha Nichols, deceas
ed. Item I bequeath unto my son Archibald Nichols a Tract or parcel of Land
beginning  west a Lucas near the fence of premises now tenth dist, thense a new north
ward down to the moth of my land, thence along the old line to Gills and my corner
tree to a Spanish Oak, thence along  the  line direct to a Chesnut on Bur Bells
line thence along Burnetts line to a view corner white Oak on Elisha Nichols line ,e
thence along Eishas nevi line to the first Sation. Item I bequeath unto my
son Elisha Nichols a tract  parcel " land, beginning at a Chesnut on Ayer's road
thence along the road as the north marked line goes to a corner white oak teak to Burr Letts
line including the twelve acres I purchased of :Linsey Barnett,  along the
1ine to the beginning Station. Item 2 bequeath unto my sin Jesse Nichols, the parcel of Land 
whereon I now dwell after my beloved Wife Laraha Nichols
(deceased). Beginning at Pointers text to Julia Gall a line thence along the lines
nexts to a corner Chestnut on Ayers road thence along the road a new Market line
to the corner pealed white oak in the feild, thence along off across the field and
along Elishas clew marked line to the new market corner Locus; by the fence, thence
alung the new market line to the mouth of the la lane thence along as the old lure
,?iirects to Gills and my corner Spanish Oak. Item I bequeath to my beloved wife
Martha' Nichols the negro wench named "Delpha and negro boy named Frank during her
Life or Widowhood after then to be equally? divided between my two suns Elisna
and Jedse Nichols. Item  I bequeath unto my two sons Elisha  and Jesse Richuls
the wagon, three Horses, named Lick, Jack and Sawny and all the utensils belong
ing to, the wagon. Item  I bequeath unto my son Eli?sha one red aril white spitted
no horn heifer. Item I bequeath unto my sun Jesse one Drak drindled   Heifer.
Item I bequeath unto my children Mary Cundiff, John Nichols, Katharine Pollard,
my son Archibald Nichols and my daughter, Jane Hancock all the other movable
property of my Estate after my beloved wife Martha Nichols deasc_______ except ing
what is before mentioned, and a small shot gun which I bequeath unto   grandson
John Nichols, the son of my Son John 'Nichols.

Item I do now  constitute and ordain my two beloved sons Elisha Nichols and Jesse
Nichols my Sole Executors to this my last will and Testament revoking and disannul any other former wills and Testaments  and constituting and allowing this to  be my last will and  Testament according  to my desire Given under my hand and Sealthis 5th day of April 1803 acknowledged Signed Sealed and delivered with the presence
